Language Arts - 

This week we will be conducting our classroom Spelling Bees. Further, Word Study 2.2 will be handed out. We are changing our Word Study format in response to the excellent job students did on their Trimester 2 pretest. This week we will have 20 commonly misspelled words. As usual, Friday will be the test and students will need to correctly spell all 20 words however, the definitions will be assessed in a matching test. 

We will also be working on writing resolutions that are not wishes; they are plans!. 

Reading Skills

This week we will be talking about genre and how knowledge of genre can help a reader better understand a complex text.
