Monday through Wednesday we will be in the media center doing research. Students will need to develop an essential question and take a stand. Next they will research articles in the SIRS database to use as sources for their paper. Each paper will need a minimum of three sources.
This paper will use the same format as the Silly Persuasive. The only difference is that this is a serious topic and will have real sources.
Thursday and Friday will be in-class work on the paper. The paper's deadline for final copies will be the end of April.
There are three HOW TO videos on my blog. They should be helpful is there is a confusion.

REMINDER:
There will be a special board meeting on Wednesday, April 18th. The
purpose will be to gather input as we prepare next year's budget. It will be a
open forum to gather ideas of what is important to parents, community and
staff. The meeting will be held in the
media center at the high school, starting at 7:00 p.m. As always, we encourage
your attendance.
