We are exploring the differences between formal and informal things in our lives, the genres that we read, and our first word study list.
Monday - Word study 1.1 was handed out and we organized our binders. Students were asked to divide their binders into the following sections: notes, word study, books, and tests/quizzes.
Tuesday - we filled in Venn diagrams comparing formal and informal, learned a new way to study for word study tests, and went to a web site to play spelling games.
Wednesday - is run-around genre day.
Thursday - more exploration of genres. This time we will play Jeopardy.
Friday - SSR day. Silent Sustained Reading
