Week of Feb.22

Due to some family issues, I am not in school on Monday or Tuesday. I will return Wednesday.

Monday= Word Study 2.9 was handed out. The complete list can be found on the left hand side of this blog. In addition, poetry notes were given. These will be used when the poetry test comes along.

Tuesday = We continue our poetry journey with an exploration of alliteration!

Wednesday = In Poetry, we'll be learning about, and exploring, similes and metaphors. *Quick Write re-writes assigned. They are due Friday!!

Thursday = We will be learning about the wide world of adventurous, absolutely adorable and occasionally annoying adjectives! The verb quiz is today as well. In Poetry, it's on to Personification!

Friday =Word Study 2.9 test. Poetry reading : ) ...a chance to show off our hard work in poetry.

*Quick Write rewrites due. Student were to choose a Quick Write entry to rewrite. Students were given a rubric to guide them. All rewrites must be in written blue/black ink OR typed: sized 12, Times New Roman font, double spaced.
