The Paper is Due!!! The Paper is DUE!!  Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!
Deep breath, it will be OK.
Yes, the argumentative essay is due Tuesday (or whatever day we meet next) at the end of class.
Remember there are LOTS of helpful videos on this blog. Watch them! Also, think about the following list of “Things to Check”

Things to Check (in no particular order)

1.      Structure – 5 paragraphs, including *watch video’s if struggling

a.       introduction

b.      three body paragraph

c.       the counter-claim (in one of your body paragraphs)

d.      conclusion

2.      Capitalization –

a.       all names of people and places.

b.      your name

c.       the pronoun “I”

d.      beginning of sentences and quotes

3.      Punctuation and Grammar –

a.       Check you sentence length

b.      Check your - their – a pronoun; there- a place; they’re – a contraction for they are

c.       So and then if your sentence begins with one of those words, get rid of it.

4.      Informal Language – This is a formal paper get rid of

a.       Kids becomes students, people, children, 7^th graders (unless it is a baby goat)

b.      Contraction they are - not they’re

c.       Slang of any kind!

5.      Format – for the whole paper, including the title!

a.       Times New Roman

b.      Size 12

c.       Double spaced

d.      Indent for new paragraphs.

e.       No extra space between paragraphs

6.      Wait!!!!  There is MORE!!!!!
