This
week and next, students will be taking the MEAP test. All students will test
with their advisory teachers.
All
testing will take place between 7:25 & 10:20 AM.
The
schedule is as follows:
o Monday: no MEAP, regular schedule
o Tuesday: part 1&2 Reading
o Wednesday: Reading Day 2
o Thursday: part 1,2,3 Writing.
o Friday: no MEAP, regular schedule
Monday: Language Arts
Daily Homework for ALL students: Read for at least 20
minutes, every night!
Even though it is a
MEAP week, we will be working on Word Study 1.3. The list can be found here Word
Study 1.3 The Words Study will be handed out on
Monday and tested on Friday. We will also be working on compare and contrast
topics.
Monday: Reading Skills:
AS ALWAYS
student need to read at least 20 minutes EACH night.
Students will be
discussing, in groups, the books they have read and what they are currently
reading.
Tuesday: Language Arts
MEAP in the morning
Hours 6, 7, and 8 will be continuing our
compare/contrast work. During our compare/contrast work, we will continue to
practice our active listening skills in collaborative groups.
Tuesday: Reading Skills
Students will be
continuing Monday’s lesson.
Wednesday: Language Arts
MEAP in the morning
Hours 1, 2, 3 will be continuing our
compare/contrast work. During our compare/contrast work, we will continue to
practice our active listening skills in collaborative groups.
Wednesday: Reading Skills
MEAP – No class.
Thursday: Language Arts
MEAP in the morning
Hours 6, 7, and 8 will be discussing and
working on their Art Prize writing.
Thursday: Reading Skills
