Jan.16th through 20th

 Word Study 2.5 is this week. Also we are continuing the work on our skit/script. The exposition is due Tuesday, Jan 17th. Help with this assignment can be found on the right side of this blog. Every students is responsible for an exposition paper. This is not a group assignment. Later in the week we will be starting our compare/contrast paper.

Monday

• Word Study 2.4 test due to snow day
• W.S. 2.5 handed out. 
• Work on exposition continues - Student's with completed rough drafts will be given feedback before the due date
• I strongly recommend taking a look at the contents of the "Exposition" folder on the right-hand side of this blog. Specifically, the document marked "Outline of Paragraphs" would be helpful to most students. At the bottom of the outline is  "Commonly Asked Questions" It should answer most questions as they arise.

Tuesday

• Exposition due!
• Self-edit with rubric
• groups will look at each member's exposition
• the exposition deemed "best" will be used in the group's final project. 

Wednesday

• Continue above

Thursday

•  Begin Compare/ Contrast paper
• Double Bubble organizer - teacher models
• Double Bubble organizer - student use information from book to complete

Friday

• Word Study 2.5 TEST
• Read and assist student in need.
