Glad To Be Back : )

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas vacation. I'm glad to be back to school! We are beginning a new unit this week: Drama!
Monday:
The Word Study 2.3 list was handed out and Drama note were given. I also explained the project we will be doing for our Drama Unit. (A play :)
Tuesday:
After Good Things and 3 Quick Writes, I read a short story entitled: The Midas Touch. We will be using this short story tomorrow in class. A trip the the Media Center was next. It's been a while since our last visit and books needed to be reviewed or exchanged.
Wednesday:
After a game of "Sparkle", we will be using The Midas Touch to learn and practice turning a piece of literature into a play. I will be demonstrating how I wrote the first and second acts, students in groups will be writing act three and lastly, individuals will be doing the final act for a grade.
Thursday:
After our Good Things and Quick Writes, we will be continuing the process of turning The Midas Touch into a play.
Friday:
Word Study 2.3 TEST! and the beginning of class presentations. (Acts 3 and 4 of The Midas Touch)
