I apologize for the lateness of this post. H1N1 finally made its way to my daughter's door, and Nana has been busy with Megan's two busy little boys! Holy cow, two and four year old boys have a lot of energy!
We are beginning Myth this week. This week's schedule is list below.
Everyday - share good things and do 3 quick writes
Monday - we received our Word Study words(list #1.6). Take a look on the left side of this entry for the words and definitions.
Tuesday - Literature Circle - All novels should be complete.
Verb activity - in groups we brainstormed 'power verbs' to replace the tired old ones we use every day.
Wednesday - We will play a lively game of Sparkle and then read silently.
Thursday - In literature circles we will explore the reading strategy: Making Connections Text to Text. We will be comparing our current novel with novel's we have read in the past.
Friday - Word Study 1.6 test
Novel work due Friday the 20th!!!! Students may either take an AR test OR complete a Book Report Form. Students may pick up the form from me, or they may us the one at the bottom of this blog.
